Washington Redskins 2016 Draft Profiles: Josh Doctson, WR

6-4 195 with some speed doesnt give up on plays . what more can you ask ?

he is projected in round 2 or 3 . round 2 could be a tough choice for the skins with good centers available good d/line available and a tall wr who you can groom

I would worry about WR next year. With Elliot off the board the first three picks should be defense especially if pot roast leaves. . Center could be in there but I think we will get one in FA(wiskewski). Plus there is talk about moving Long to center. I expect Lavou and Kojo beating out Long for the LG spot so Long needs to move to Center. Also, we can get a decent center in the 4th round like the guy from Iowa.

i am not worried about wr next year when its all said and done both garcon and DJ will be on the team cap hit or not . this isnt a deep wr class so if you take one you get the type you need and develop him

we dont have cap issues

I put in a vote for Doctson earlier on one of these draft threads. Would be just fine with him.

Serious question....why do you believe the fourth rounder Kojo, who didn't beat Long (3rd rounder) this year, will beat Long out next season?

Just a hunch. I think Long is going to have to move to center to be a starter for us. If its not Kojo that beats him out it would be lavou. The weakest part of our oline is Center and LG. If we start Litch(C) and Long(LG) for 2016 I would be shocked and disappointed.

so you dont think the staff will allow long to grow ? lavou may never be right again after his injury and complications he had from surgery .

if lavou is not right then he will be released. Assuming we pick up a center it would be Kojo vs long for the LG position. Kojo is Sm's guy so you know that he will have every opportunity to win the starting LG position.

Seems more likely to me that they will at least try Long out at center. If he shows promise there, it would leave Kojo and Lavaou competing for LG.

Redskins first-round WR Josh Doctson (Achilles') said he felt good after his first day of rehab.

Doctson took a month off to rest and treat his troublesome Achilles' tendon. He ramped up his activity on Thursday, and he said he woke up Friday feeling good. "Today was the real test," he said. "It’s been weeks since I felt this good." The rookie will still likely sit out a couple weeks, but it sounds like he is trending in the right direction. Doctson should open the year the Redskins' No. 4 receiver, but he has the talent to climb the depth chart quickly.

And you basing this on what exactly? One injury where they are simply being careful? Or perhaps the broken wrist at the end of his college career?

Good grief.

My reaction also when I saw this thread. Nagging achilles do indeed suck but certainly not the end of the road. The good news if he is sidelined for spells this year is that we have depth at that position. Dude's gonna be fine... he was looking good in practice yesterday on drills he ran.
