Civilian Marine......^ I believe Southie is in the Marines.
I was surprised last time on leave, how expensive everything had gotten stateside.....Ps. If your still IN Okinawa, I hear it's not so cheap there either unless you got some good ties with military and black mrkt
Stop it, guys. San Diego sucks.
Nobody else needs to move here. It's terrible.
The temperature got up into the 80's recently. And another day it sprinkled.
The women are all ugly. And fat.
When you go to the beach, you end up getting sand all over the inside of your car, and then your house. Really nasty stuff, that sand.
Let's see...all the trees and greenery are such an eyesore. Who needs 'em?
The Zoo, Wild Animal Park, and Sea World are no fun. And you might get eaten by an orca if you go to Sea World. And the gorillas at the Zoo might throw poop at you.
Lots of bad stuff in San Diego. Just trying to save everyone from the mistake of moving here. You're welcome.
PSA over.
Bump. My first post ever here.

If cost wasn't an issue I'd likely choose Monterey up the coast from San Diego. Lived there a couple years and loved it. But makes San Diego look affordable so...San Diego is probably my favorite place I have visited in the US. That being said. I agree. Way too expensive. If cost wasn't an issue that is where I'd want to be though.
Monterey is gorgeous, but the Central Coast is amaaaazing. Wish I still lived there in some ways. Used to road trip Big Sur every week on a Tues, wed or Thurs. just a 100 mile round trip from the Paso Robles area. Least amount of people in some of the best of Cali, lite traffic, fabulous wine and outdoor activities, salt of the earth ranchers and cowboys and the weather is rockin. Only drawback is making enough money to sustain yourself outside a few industries. If cost wasn't an issue I'd likely choose Monterey up the coast from San Diego. I grew up in San Diego. Wife and I were just having this exact conversation. We picked either Del Mar or Carmel. If cost wasn't an issue I'd likely choose Monterey up the coast from San Diego. Lived there a couple years and loved it. But makes San Diego look affordable so...
That’s where I was for 10 years! Loved it!Graduated HS in Orange County. I would located around San Luis Obispo - Paso Robles area.
