I don't think so. I don't know what the greatest rivalry in sports is honestly. I can name a handful that we all would agree are up there but I just don't think there is a clear cut #1.

Agreed with Gooch, don't think there is a clear cut number 1 - Red Sox/Yankees is obviously up there(although it just seems forced the last few years), Bruins/Habs is up there, Flyers/Penguins, etc etc - it's a personal preference

In all of professional sports? Nah, there are some soccer rivalries in Europe that are definitely crazier than Bruins - Habs. It's definitely up there as far as North American pro sports are concerned.

It's a good one no doubt about that. The fact they've met a lot the last 7 or 8 years in the playoffs really helps. But the best? How do you quantify that? I think a lot of people place too much importance on having the "best" rivalry. It's a very good one. That's enough.

The fact that the NHL is not close to the top sports in America would not make it the #1 rivalry in America. I'm not sure about how Canadians would feel.

Seems to me it is the #2 rivalry in hockey behind the Oilers-Panthers feud.
