Why Chicago release him, again?

Got the yips at the end of 2015. Very similar to Crosby that year. Then, missed a 32 yard kick badly to lose a game that would have put them in the final wild card spot in like mid December with a couple left. The next week. Missed vs Washington as time expired to tie (along with 2-3 other kicks) to effectively end their playoff hopes.

Then, he showed up in 2016 training camp and I think he missed something absurd like the majority of his PAT's. Along with almost all of his kicks. Like a golfer who literally can't stop slicing.

At the time, I understood why they made the move. Hard to go into the season with a kicker who is so clearly mindf**ked. In hindsight, obviously, he had been so good for so long. Maybe fair to give him a chance. Hindsight is always 20/20, though.

We surely missed him until Santos became really good for us the past two seasons.
