Dirty hit on Girgensons?

Richard Panik takes a pretty good run at Girgensons. It doesn't look like he left his feet but the puck is long gone. Cheap shot? They haven't said how badly injured Girgensons is yet. Looks like he went high towards the head for sure.

Totally unnecessary late hit in my opinion Boss - That said, it wasn't that dirty of a hit, but it was a hit that didn't need to be made (Panik just figured what the hell, he's vulnerable so I'll just get a shot in).

Game misconduct is probably enough punishment (of course, the extent to which Girgensons is injured could factor into that decision).

Yeah that's pretty much how I feel. Apparently Panik has no history of playing like this so that will factor in too.

I first heard about it today on sports talk here in Buffalo and they were making it sound like Panik flew out of a fucking drone and chopped the kids head off. Naturally because he's a Sabres kid they are going to over blow it.

Unnecessary hit though for sure.
