My wife and I will be in Colorado this weekend and will be in Denver Sunday. Figured I'd see if you guys had any recommendations. Would certainly like to eat something local and mid to higher-ish scale. Any input @LongtimeRamsFan42?

Unfortunately I don't know of any place in Denver. I will be in San Antonio in 2 weeks. Any recommendations?

From what I see on different sites...It seems that a few REALLY good ones are Fruition, Rioja, and Root Down. Those are the ones that seem unanimous amongst all of the sites to be in their top three, five or ten...No idea where they are in relation to anything though(locationwise)I haven't been in denver for about 20 years...

Was looking at Rioja. I'll check root down too.

It's definitely one of the places I'd be looking to try if I was visiting there!!!...Not sure why you have kinda ignored Fruition but from EVERY list I've seen of top places in Denver, its the ONLY one that is ALWAYS in the top two or three...Is it the neighborhood? because I understand it's in a bit of a suburb and not quite in the city...

Not really ignoring fruition. Just looking at the menu at Rioja had some really appealing things to my wife and myself; including the corn poblano soup, fresh bacon, and truffle tremor goat cheese for starters. For entrees the octopus farfalle, lamb loin, scallops, and pork chop really jumped out at me.

If you haven't seen the menu, take a look and let me know your thoughts.

I have not lived there in about 5 years, but I always really liked Domo Restaurant Denver Colorado, Traditional Japanese Cuisine — Japanese Country Foods Restaurant, Garden and Museum

Eating on the patio is really nice, although I am not sure what the temperature will be like

Some nice sounding dishes on there...The part of the menu I like best is the statement on the bottom that Tasting Menus are available...I know some people HATE tasting menus, but I love them...

I've eaten at Frasca. Really enjoyed that.

How about Mountain Sun Pub & Brewery? People seem to rave about it, the food and the beer(if you're into beer)...Def a pub type menu but people REALLY seem to like it there...

91% lean not that 73% garbage. These are like freaking sirloin burgers or steak burgers.

Actually right in between the two is best for me...91% is a bit too lean and 73% is WAY too fatty...
