We haven’t had this much talent and depth at tackle probably ever. Dillard gets to work and learn from the best. If this pick pans out like it should then we are set for a long time.

I read a little rumor today, coaches were chatting that if he's day one ready, kicking Peters down to the guard spot and letting the rookie take the tackle spot.......

This would be very interesting. I could be down with that.

On the job training.....nice idea if it could be worked out. Put Pryor or Semeulo over with Lane (until Brooks is 100%) and start crunching!

We have a lot of options now on the OL going into the season ... I think Mailata will be shifted to LG in the preseason to see how he does. Dillard steps right into the backup LT spot and with Peters' recent injury history ... he's likely going to see time during his rookie season.

I haven't seen a time table yet, but my "guess" is that he misses 6-8 games just due to the time frame "usually" needed to recover from that.

The 'normal' recovery time varies by individual.
Brooks may indeed be back on the field at some point but it will not be at anything close to the same level. That won't happen until the following season. The mental aspect to this injury is often underestimated.

I have been wondering about that. Seems to me that Peters could play to 40 at LG.

Wings (who use to post here) texted me this video: It's a great watch on Andre Dillard:
