Did the Big XII just get a ticket to the Playoff?

Two Big XII teams, niether of which enjoying pre-season love, just took the top two teams in the nation to task.

don't know about the playoffs yet, but do know that every week in the conference can bite if you in the ass

No I think the perception is that Alabama played down to West Virginia and that everybody is going to "give Florida State their best shot" because they have a "target on their back".

Unless Michigan St beats Oregon, I don't see a team from there making it.

Only way the Big12 misses out then is if the SEC gets 2 teams in, and that's just as unlikely.

South Carolina will still be ranked. They will have respect for the ole ball coach but they were gifted the high preseason ranking. I think Oklahoma State played a better game than they did and you could easily swap them as basing them off previous years performance, OSU having gone 10-3.

So in that respect OSU should be ranked next week, because they should have been ranked week 1, just like USCe.

WVU was just a fluke. That team is hot and cold. Can take you to the wire, or suck and lose to Kansas. Weirdness all around playing WVU.

PAC could beat themselves out of a spot also. Imagine the meltdown if Alabama doesn't go to the SEC Championship but makes the playoff as the 2nd SEC team over a B1G and PAC team.

That would have to put LSU, A&M or Auburn as the SEC champs. Only way that happens.

WVU looks to be much improved from last year

This. None of the SEC teams were real impressive except for UGA maybe, but how good is Clemson that's why they play the games I guess
