Looks like Seattle opened a good size gap between SF and them so the NFC West should be almost a lock for the Seahawks to win. New Orleans MUST win tonight or they will be in the same boat as SF. Can anyone catch Seattle in the NFC with the Seahawks relatively easy schedule?

No. What if Wilson went out for 6 weeks with an injury in the next game? This is a long season and we are only just past the half way mark. Things change in a hurry in this league.

Seattle is in good position and with a lot of injured guys coming back we should all feel good about our chances, but we haven't won a damned thing until its over and we have actually won the big game. Until then we are just on a good ride and should be enjoying it.

There is still a lot of football left to play. And as the saying goes, on any given Sunday. Seattle is in a great spot to win their division and have homefield in the playoffs, but the season is not over yet.

Oh, I'm enjoying it alright. You have to admit with 6-7 games left and a 3 game lead it looks good. Especially with the 5th easiest schedule in the NFL for the rest of the year.

SF and NO worry me a lot, but with this kind of lead it's going to be extremely difficult for another team to pass the Hawks. Can it happen? Yes. Likely? No.

Don't jinx it now... anything can happen in the NFL. We have a vulnerable O-Line and the last thing we want is for Wilson to go down.

Yes well clearly if some catastrophic series of injuries happened things could change. All I'm saying is that the Conference is in our own control right now. As long as Seattle wins the game they should win, it will be next to impossible for another team to catch us. If they do pass us somehow then I take my hat off to them because that will need be one incredible run for them plus an epic collapse for seattle.

Seattle is very good, but they're one injury away from falling back into the pack. They do play in the toughest division of the NFC.

Dude, come on. Anything can happen in the NFL. If Seattle loses to SF and NO with SF winning out Seattle could lose the division easily. There are 6 weeks left and I'm not willing to call any game "easy" after seeing the Seahawks performance against the Rams and Bucs.

So, no they did not win the NFC today. I like their chances a lot more after the win and SF loss, and they will just get healthier from here on out. Saying they are a lock to win the NFC is way premature at this point.

Isn't every team one injury away from that? One of Seattle's strengths is actually it's depth. Even if Wilson or Lynch went out right now I think there is enough depth to win 3 out of 6 games and win the West and maybe even the Conference. I'm not pretending it's some kind of guaranteed outcome, but every team in the NFC would trade with Seattle to be in their spot right now.

I think I'd just like to say that we increased our chances by a decent margin today. Getting the kind of advantage we have right now is absolutely huge. However, you have to consider the scenarios at hands with 6 weeks left to play.

Lol. I get it fellow Hawk fans. No one wants to jinx anything anything by saying something about winning the division or conference. None the less, superstition aside, you have to admit we took a massive step towards winning the 1st round bye today.

No, but Seattle has put themselves in one heck of a position to do so. Props to the Hawks and the classy Seattle fans.

Yes, yes they are.

The point of saying that isn't that it's somehow more true for the Seahawks than any other team. Lots of football left, and lots of crazy things can happen. That's all.

I know you were just asking the question, "can anybody catch us?" and the answer is yeah, somebody could. One of the ways they could is due to attrition.

And would every other team trade places with you right now? Of course. Takes some of the pressure off to be out in front. Good luck the rest of the way.
