BOOMER..SOONERS!!!
Did Oklahoma’s Defense get any better? I know I know, Defense and Oklahoma is an oxymoron. HEY we used to have one of the top Ds in the league, back when Mike Stoops was relevant. Anyways, just looking at a single game of whom we played twice in the same year, it’s the only way to give them a good eye ball test.
Oklahoma played texas on Oct. 6th. Mike Stoops was DCO
Oklahoma played texas on Nov 30th . Ruffin McNeal is DCO.

YPP: +.6 yds
Rushing: -89
YPR: -1.9 yds
Total Yards: -64 yds
Turnovers: + 1
TOP: - 5:50
1st Downs: + 5
3 and Outs or Turnovers: +2
Fate Sealed: Depending if you consider the last touchdown as being fate sealed or the Defensive Safety play, could be a factor of +2 minutes or + 8 minutes, you choose. Still better than .09 seconds left.
Just using the general information you can say yay or nay. It’s really difficult to say they have gotten better in anything, maybe the rushing defense. However, they did look less lethargic the second go around, yea they still looked lost a majority of the time but they stepped up when needed. Overall, its really difficult to say they have in any case, but then there are the little things that matter in a game, such as 3 and outs, turnovers, and the safety.
In the end, they still looked like dog shit on a stick.
