US ARMY retired /mod.
if he ever gets some work ethic he could fit in
lets get mason rudolph

And...the 1st round talent is debatable because of whats between the ears with this immature guy. Minimal risk? Possible he learned some lessons and does not throw Tomlin & teammates under the bus with his inexcusable actions or decision making like he did in WASH. Hopefully since the PITT organization wanted him they will demonstrate to DH how to be a professional athlete. He is not there yet.1 yr deal, 1st Rd talent... High ceiling with minimal risk. He fits Matt Canada's system better. Not a bad signing in theory but I'm not a fan of it.
Questionable character & skills. Steelers are on the cusp of a full rebuild. I've grown very tired of character concerns.

Your intel sounds a bit off. Gruden did not want DH drafted. He was drafted anyway. DH did not start the better half of his first season because of lame duck coach Gruden. The only snaps DH took his first half year in practice was admittedly with the scout team. He had a few snaps in practice before his first start that season. Things were up and down for him, coaching changes during the season and for the most part, a wasted season for DH. If you followed his 2nd season this year in which RR basically gave him the starters job, he fluffed off, study habits questioned, his implementation and understanding of the offense not consistent, his accuracy awful, his read progressions limited and his pocket presence and feel for the NFL game just wasn't there. I will agree at this point since in WASH we saw up close the work required for DH to become an NFL starting QB and he has a ton of work to do and even more work on his person and decision making skills. I think we can all agree, DH has an NFL arm that jumps out at you.His character was even questioned by Meyer before the WTF drafted him. He called DH very immature. As far as his skills. Well that team that drafted him never used him right. So he got off to a very bad start.
He should have never been a 1st round pick. Dumbass decision to take him at # 12 in the first place, or was it #15? His skills. Well that's the tough one. He wasn't used right or coached right in Washington. And that shouldn't be held against him.
Even though he's now with the Steelers (what a disgusting thought) I wish him the best.

You are 100% correct.Okay thanks for the correction and the info. I had it wrong. DH can do one of two things.
1.) continue on this path and be outta the league once and for all
2.) use this as a learning experience and correct his mistakes
I think he has the raw skills to be a decent QB. But if he doesn't put the work in it won't matter.
Minimal risk in the cap commitment sense. If he proves problematic or doesn’t pan out then they can cut ties with very little impact.And...the 1st round talent is debatable because of whats between the ears with this immature guy.
