I'm outraged every time it's brought up  I hate the goddamn DH.

I think it would be a mistake, it is the one thing that really differentiates both leagues.

Um no thank you. I'd like to see the American League drop the DH and have their pitcher actually hit. DH is nothing more than an excuse to have an overaged roided out guy get to hit a HR.

This would be a complete 180 from the interview I heard Manfred give a year ago where he said he loves the difference between the two leagues and as long as he was running the show he did not see the rules changing regarding the DH.

No. I like the DH in the AL but I also enjoy the difference in dynamics of an watching NL game. Having both makes it more interesting.

I felt like when the Astros moved to the AL West (bastards!) and balanced out the league that a DH to the NL was inevitable. I was trying to prepare myself for it. I can't. This news scares the SHIT out of me.

I don't want baseball to change from a game to a show. Adding the universal DH would do just that. It would completely signal that baseball is going for as much money as possible (which is totally fine, since it's a business. But it FUCKING SUCKS!) without much regard for the integrity of the game. I'm fine with a lot of the changes they made, and I'll be fine with a lot they make in the future (robot umps?), but this would be one I could not stand by.

Both leagues should have the same thing, enough with this big time difference between both leagues.

I also like MOST of the recent changes, and as well as most of the proposed changes...

The worst is when a team doesn't even have a guy like that (or he's hurt).

I'm fine with a DH. I just want the two leagues to have equal rules. There aren't 4 strikes and 3 balls in the American League. I guess I would prefer if both leagues went without the DH, but I can sleep fine with two leagues with DH's

I'd rather have no DH (even growing up as an M's fan). I agree it let's certain players play a bit later in their career but still, I'm more about defense and the strategy that the non-DH league brings because of it.

That said, this is inevitable. League wants more scoring (just like NFL/NBA) so they'll favor that route/option.

*every woman and douche men in sports*
"There's just not enough scoring/excitement!"

*NBA - let's get rid of traveling calls and arm bars*
"OMG basketball is SOOOOO exciting!"

*NFL - let's make QBs invincible, penalize defenses on everything but offensive holding which needs to be blatant! And oh yah, umm, put some pop singer out there for half time shows.*
"OMG NFL is SOOOOO exciting!"

*MLB - MORE HOMERS*
"OMG baseball is still boring but a LITTLE MORE EXCITING!!!"

I hate the DH, I don't want to see it at all. Unfortunately, it seems that MLB is hell bent on adding it to the NL.

And I hate seeing pitchers get a free out basically once every time through the order.
