Please, Davis is improving but not the caliber of player where we took him at 15. He is in all tier below White at the moment and would look good playing with White. Barton on a 1 yr deal can "fill in".

Agree he improved some but no where close to being worth the round he was selected in

White allows 77% completion percentage for a QB rating of 105, while missing a large percentage of tackles. Davis is 64% and 86 qb rating and does not miss tackles. White adds a dimension with passrush that is better, but the view on him is all perception, very little reality.

He has a 14% missed tackle rate and his coverage is weak. I know he has the perception of elite, but I don't see it.

Yeah that's what i was saying, split second off on some big plays. It was unreal, from sacks to pics....to 3rd down stops. He just was a hair off, but his tape still looked great. A team would be foolish to not at least entertain adding him

Have you seen him play? Those stats must be respected and can't be denied, but have you actually seen him play?

Not every game, but his play lines up with the stats. He is ok, until he shows up in a big splash play, then back to ok. I think the flash plays that pop up overinflate what is an alright MLB, but not a player worth the massive contract some people think he should get. He won't make your defense worse, but he is mostly just a guy.

I'll admit he started off his career with a bang, got the superbowl win and all pro status...and this season especially he was hit or miss, but at 25...with the potential to improve....he fits a need. Our LB situation is terrible

I for sure don't think he would hurt the team, especially where you have Davis, who by all accounts is decent at pass coverage. I think if the plan is to bring him in and turn around and pay him like Tremaine Edmonds or Fred Warner you are doing a disservice to the team. If he signs for Demario Davis range then you are getting value.

As much as I would like to keep both Sweat & CY, at the current moment, CY has to go based upon production, injuries etc. I would rather pay White (known commodity) than pay CY is what I'm saying. You keep mentioning Clowney for some reason. I'm rolling with JSW, Toohill, Obada and a draft pick or 2 to fill the void. It shouldn't be hard to match or succeed previous numbers put up by CY.

Now you are talking about making choices not whether we have the money . You said we couldn’t afford it which is untrue , we can ,now it’s about choice

Clowney is CY , overhyped , overdrafted player

What are you willing to pay because he is a FA in 2024.

Is he any good really? Spotrac has him rated at a 40 and average is 65. His PFF grade is a 45.

Yes in 2020. White has not faired nearly as well since.

I don’t need a former AP LB as it is one of the least important positions in football. The facts are White is not an upgrade in coverage or tackling.

Interesting #s. I recall Warren Sapp specifically calling out White who was the Bucs defensive captain for lack of hustle last year. Sapp showed a few plays to support his claim and it wasn't a good look for White at all. Though it was only a couple plays and drawing any solid conclusions from them would be inadequate at best. That said

No to White. He benefits greatly from playing with Lavonte David and that allows White to use his biggest asset, his speed. He's too hot n cold though and with Holcomb now a Steeler. I'm not sure a still inexperienced Davis n White make for a good or effective tandem. .

And I'm not sure White is that much better of a pass rusher than Jamin. Recall Davis briefly led the Skins with 3 sacks after 4 games, but for whatever reason using him as a pass rusher waned as the season went on. I thought for a hot second that maybe a new and never used before talent for pass rushing was emerging.
