Both teams struggling, both teams need to win. Discuss.

Early pressure will win this one. When you are struggling, it doesn't take much to deflate a team. It goes both ways of course, but the Devils are the more talented team. I expect a W tonight.

Also, I think that the Devils need to take a leap of faith and stack the top two lines with Parise-Zajac-Langenbrunner
Kovalchuk-Arnott-Elias

I think that Dainius deserves in instead of Langenbrunner.

We better be more hungry for the win tonight. Yes it is early in the season but you can say this game is a key game and is one of the games we should win on this road trip.
MC, agreed that we need to put our best players on the top 2 lines.
D has got to step up and play good D.

I'm getting pumped for the game, but I will not be able to watch it...have to play myself at 11:00 tonight. Hate playing those late night games but at least I'm playing the game I love.

LETS GO DEVILS AND KICK SOME DUCK ASS!

Didnt we go with that line for a game or two? I think Kovy playing with Elias would be great, if NHL 11 ever updates their online rosters thats what I was planning on going with.

Does anyone else see the Devils coming out like gangbusters then losing the lead in the second again?

I definitely believe that if nothing else, we need to keep some consistency in our lines. Whether it's Parise-Zajac-Langs and Kovy-arnott-elias, we need to keep lines intact. I think it's pretty clear at this point that juggling the lines hasn't provided much of spark. I also know it's not easy for JMac to keep lines the same when the team is getting murdered out there. But, I still think the best way to go is allow the lines to get some kind of chemistry together.

Best thing about tonights win was that Both Langs and Elias scored.... something they both needed and something that hopefully will ignite this team... Good win, great effort... would still like to see our PP get going (been waiting for 5 years on that one)... but Elias played great at center and Kovy was all over tonight... their shots were better placed tonight and probably should have scored more..., but a win is a win and I will take it...

Certainly a weight off both their shoulders. Langs should stay with Parisajac. Keep him away from Kovy. That way they can each run their little show. BTW, I was super impressed how he made sure to credit Kovy for the Elias goal. That's how you bridge the supposed gaps between this team.
