I saw Hicks also. Not sure we will see.

CBS Sports says he is in the second of a 10 year contract at 315 Mil approx. the last two or three will be bad of course at least hoping it doesn't become bad in three years.

Hicks and Harrison for Devers. OUTSTANDING TRADE. Both pitchers expendable

Agreed. We've got JV coming back next Saturday vs....Boston.

Whiz in the wings. The money is scary but in 5 years it won't look like so much.
I hope it isn't too bad a contract till the last two years if we are lucky.

Adames had the biggest contract in club history for about six months.

Just....wow.
Well we can see Posey isn't sitting on his hands LOL. I hope this works out for at least five years I think it will certainly help this year.

Hopefully this does for the Giants what the Betts trade did for the Dogs.

Devers is a great bat, but mediocre glove. He does have a good arm. His problem is always been lack of concentration in defense. I have seen him play a lot living here in Massachusetts. He was a fan favorite despite his fielding due to his hitting until this season when he refused to play first after their starting first baseman got injured. He is also known to run to first lazily. He is only 28 and is signed long term.

This trade also makes me think we are trading for pitching at some point. We now have the bats to compete for the series, just need another starting pitcher and a reliable closer.

Guessing Duran will be before the deadline as well.

Tibbs was acquired in the deal.

Hard pill to swallow for the Sox but they have so much young talent.

It's $315M for ten years and he gets $31.5 per.

He's a horrible defensive 3B. He had 13 errors in 2024. He doesn't run out hits and has been thrown out easily by 4-5 steps when he could have beaten the throw. With both Bregman and Casas hurt he wouldn't play 3B or 1B. Oh yeah, he was 0-21 at the start of this season.

Maybe he'll have a better attitude on the left coast. The guy can hit the ball a ton and when he gets hot, he'll hit multiple HRs in a game and do it two or three in a row.

Boston needs arms desperately. Although they just swept the Yankees and have 5-1 record against them in 2025.

Jordan Hicks is awful. I'd rather try any of the AAA arms over him.

Heist of a trade for SF.

Disagree strongly here. We have the best staff in the majors.

Absent an injury, we ain't trading for pitching.
