the thing is, i was under the impression they cut way back on their k's. i haven't checked the numbers but if it's right then it doesn't add up.

so they are 8th out of the 15 teams in the league in terms of strike outs but last in walks.

The shame of this season to date is how incredibly winnable the Central is. Minny leads the pack despite being only one game above .500
Can't really knock losing 2 of 3 so far to the Tigs, while they're hardly playing anything beyond mediocre, that's still enough to handle our squad. Let's square the series tomorrow and get back on track.

Not a shame, a huge lucky break. If the Sox weren't in the crappiest division their season would already be over. As it is they have as much chance as anyone to win that division.

That's why it's a shame. Here we're fortunate enough to be playing in the crappiest division in the game, yet at this point we're stuck in 4th place. With the so-called talent we supposedly have, we should be mopping up.

It's still way too early, they started out with a lot of injuries and a terrible record, it takes time to claw back. But there's plenty of it.

Enjoyable game ended in heartbreak for the Sox. The Sox scored the tying run and the go ahead run on two headfirst slides on consecutive plays at the plate. Burger was robbed of an insurance run with a home run stealing defensive play in CF. Of, the Sox couldn't move the runner along from 2nd base in extra innings choosing instead to strike out the first two batters up - the fly ball came as the third out of the 10th. Robert let a ball get passed him in the bottom of the 10th for a one out triple. The winning run came on a sac fly.
