fun fact for our resident Kelly fan (as told by Indians tv broadcasters) - we all know that Kelly has played many positions including pitcher and catcher. The only position he has never played at the MLB level is shortstop. As Kelly came up through the farm system he was indeed - a shortstop.

darn you Bronco, let me try that again - the only position he has never played as a Tiger at the MLB level - on second thought, aren't the pirates still AAA.

Hahahahaha.... It's a sad, sick, unneccisary level of knowledge I have when it comes to DK. It is weird that Detroit has never used him at short. He might fit the mold of guys that don't bother me at short. He can't hit a lick, but has sneaky speed.

BTW....Don Kelly is from Butler, PA???? At least Baseball Reference said he was.

OK....from now on....Maier = Novi. And McLouth - Whitehall. My apologies to any and all Novinians and Whitehallites.

We've went over this for years man. Cleeves family know one guy, my friends went to high school with the other. Google Dwight Eisenhower and see where he was born, then remember where he was from. Birthplaces and hometowns, not the same. This is a quality example of why everyone who has the chance to avoid, ignore, or just have a general in difference towards you, should.

Good to see Vik-tor with a 3 for 5 nite. Who suggested for him not to swing for the fences? Ya just became the NEW hitting coach.

OK, OK. If it is that important....I will just stick to "he is from Michigan" from now on.

PS....I did know that the Cardinals Jason Motte was born in Port Huron but grew up in the state of NY.

how about that Andy Dirks? after hurting his knee against the out field wall..and a slow start. He is again proving to be a young star in the MLB.
I picked him up in fantasy after he got off the DL. only 1% owned him. He will hit over .300 this year.

Yes, Dirks is heating up, and we also got three hits from V-mart last night. Get those two going and add in the return of Austin Jackson from the DL, and this lineup can do some serious damage.

Also good to see Max dominate after that suspect outing against the lowly Astros last week.

Now, Mr. Leyland, can we please see a little more Brayan Pena and a little less Alex Avila?

Hopefully Justin Verlander can bounce back and have a good quality start. Tigers need something close to the JV of the last two years.
