Cooper was heaping praise on the young man in the post game.

Wonder if it's that Johnny has grown up, or if the Bolts realize Stamkos is long gone and they have to ride Drouin now and going forward? Maybe both?

It's a good story. Drouin has certainly handled himself appropriately since going to Syracuse.

It's a good story. Drouin has certainly handled himself appropriately since going to Syracuse.

Drouin is simply playing the way he was playing all year, except he was inexplicably losing minutes to offensive dynamos like JT Brown and Erik Condra, not to mention Ryan Callahan who is quickly becoming one of the most dramatically overpaid players in the league.

I doubt Yzerman trades him now and I doubt Drouin holds Steve's feet to the fire for a trade, but I wouldn't expect Drouin to be giving any discount come RFA time.
