Not sure (to lazy to find-it) but I thought if the Wings play Mantha more than 10 games this season, his salary changes? I could be wrong here but that might be the reason he's in GR.

Why bother, he'll just take oot someone whose been playing fine to put him in, instead of the d-man that needs to be benched.

good point. i believe if you play more than 10 games in season, it burns up a year of their entry contract. But that shouldn't be a concern when he is clearly better than some already on the roster and you are down 2-0 in the playoffs

At least Mrazek will play. Howard was way too slow moving laterally and recovering.

good point. i believe if you play more than 10 games in season, it burns up a year of their entry contract. But that shouldn't be a concern when he is clearly better than some already on the roster and you are down 2-0 in the playoffs

It should be a concern, the Wings aren't going deep this season, then there is the Datzsuk contract, Franzen etc. Can't afford extras, just my thoughts. Of course if the expansion does happen....
