I'm pretty sure Johnson killed a bird but I don't think he was arrested. I think it was an outfielder and I think it was someone well known like Dawson or Winfield
OK! It was Winfield. Billy Martin said he was innocent. Said that it had to be an accident since he didn't hit the cutoff man all year!

Here's one:

Good all around athlete with power and speed. The ballpark he played most of his games in wasn't great for power so he relied a lot on speed, but did hit over 20 hrs 3 times.
Received MVP votes 5 times, 4 All Star Games 4 Gold Gloves.
.285/.347/.790 career line.
Racked up 52.7 WAR
The .790 number must be OPS not slugging percentage, right?

Stieb was really underrated. His career was around the same time as Jack Morris and Morris got more recognition because the teams he was on were not as bad as the expansion blue jays were in the early years. If he was on the Yankees or something he would have several 20 win seasons.
I totally agree. I think he was a better pitcher than Morris, he just pitched in a tougher division and didn't stick around and stockpile 2-3.5 win seasons at the end of his career like Morris did

not any of those guys.. His career was kind of in between Horton and Renteria.
I remember seeing him in a basseball movie in the late 70's or early 80's. He didn't have a major part or anything but there was a scene where he and his teammates were shown in the dugout

On a side note, I looked up the movie on IMDB, and he is credited there, but what I also never noticed is if you click on a player in IMDB they get credited for their all star and world series appearances on there.

Also, off the field this guy is probably not someone you'd want to marry your daughter. Here are some highlights.

was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 1974 in the shooting death of a 19-year-old woman in Santo Domingo and fined $100. In 1978 he injured his right hand in an outburst after making an out in a close game and was fined $5,000 by the Astros. In 1981 he went into the stands to confront a heckler in Atlanta and was fined $5,000 by the National League. In 1985 he was charged with driving while intoxicated after his car struck a tree, fined $400 and ordered to pay $7,000 in restitution for property damage. He is awaiting trial June 27 after being charged with smashing a glass into a man's face at a nightclub in June of last year. (AP)

Man, those Santo Domingan judges are tough. Shoots a 19-year old woman and gets a $100 fine

This should be easy.

HOF'er who won 20 games or more for 13 seasons.
He won over 82 games after he was 40 including a no-hitter.
Lifetime 3.09 ERA.
Teammates over the years included Jim Constanty, Al Dark, Felipe Alou, Clyde Klutz, lol.
