There certainly are worse players though
Nicknamed "The Schnozz" and "Lom"A player before my time. Not an overly popular one I suppose. I am clueless!
Earnie Lombardi. Or Ernie Lombardi.Nicknamed "The Schnozz" and "Lom"
Shouldn't Buckner be dubbed "The _(whatever his name is)_ of the 1980's" ?
- NL MVP in 1938
- 2-time NL batting champion (1938, 1942)
- Considered the slowest baseball player ever
- A famous miscue in a World Series has him dubbed as "the Bill Buckner of the 1930s"
- One of the weaker players to get into the HOF, IMO
Damnit!!! Porter was my next playerI just looked at his stats. You're right, they are kind of underwhelming. Why not stick Lance Parrish in the Hall of Fame too- or Darrell Porter?
He should be in the hall of Above Average
Very good catcherDamnit!!! Porter was my next player
Yeah, certainly not a HOF but he put up a pretty good career. Defensive statistics love him and he did post a .354 OBP and a 113 wRC+ in 6570 PAVery good catcher
He has a .344 OBPHow does Sosa hit 600 HRS and still have a .311 OBP?
oops my bad. It was .344How does Sosa hit 600 HRS and still have a .311 OBP?
