12 team PPR....I just lost Martin for what looks like the rest of the year. My other starter is Gore. My bench consists of Starks, Ellington, and Bolden. I know...RB's where hit hard for 1st 3-4 rounds, I went other directions after Martin and Gore...

The most promising WW snaggers are Mike James (TB), I have RG3 and Reed(which was a good move at least for week 7).....Chris Ivory, Marcel Reese, and Kendall Hunter.

This league has made a grand total of ZERO trades. Guys just don't trade. I have a couple offers out there but not holding my breath.

Any of those 4 worth picking up for the rest of the season? I was leaning toward James since he got 14 carries when Martin went down.

Thanks...:gaah:

Yeah, I think Ivory is definitely worth a grab.

James over Hunter too. He should get a lot of carries. Maybe he can find more success than the muscle hamster.

Thanx, after re-reading my post, not sure why I added the RG3 and Reed comment. James doesn't play for Washington. Brain fart

That makes leagues really shitty imo. What fun is it to just stand pat and never look to improve your team? One of the owners in my long time keeper league said we should just have to draft our team and be stuck with the hand we're given. Huh? Needless to say, he's made zero trades in the 8 years we've been doing this, and he's won.........wait for it..........ZERO championships.

Ya gotta make moves. Plus, it's the best part of being an owner.

Those types of leagues can be real fun, and definitely test your strategy on Draft day. But no, I wouldn't want that for my main/money Kraus.

If you had these 3 guys sitting in waivers, how would you rank them?

Mike James
Shane Vereen
Andre Brown

Depends on my team's situation. If I have to have a RB for week 8.. no if's or but's.. than its James. If I'm just looking for depth and have reason to believe I'll be fine starter wise for ca few more weeks. . then it's Vereen, then Brown, then James.

I have Charles and Forte so I'm pretty set as far as long term, but with Forte on bye this week, I have Lamar Miller :L and Rashard Mendenhall :L:L to replace him with.

Taz, I don't much like James next week against Carolina. I'd probably grab Vereen. (Wilson will complicate things for Andre Brown.)

Low and behold, after making my comment, there was a trade in our league. Maybe I got the ball rolling by putting feelers out there. These guys aren't dead and rotting after all. Not a big trade, MJD for Wallace, but it's a start.

I would rather have Brown than Vereen. I think Ridley is a bigger concern than Wilson. I wouldn't touch James (so I guess he goes for 100, 2 TD).

my experience is nobody wants to make a move unless they can give a crappy player and get back a stud..or just a better player than they gave up. im all for making moves if it makes team better...I get far more through waiver wire than any trade.
