At the same token nothing better then revenge against someone who doesn't believe in you.

Depends on how much you like a QB. I don't think Jimmy G is going to stop any team from taking a QB they may fall in love with in the draft. Stafford is older and injury prone and is wanting a new contract. Rams did show interest in Nix. It wouldn't have been crazy if they liked a "young" QB well enough and he was on the board that they wouldn't have passed. I think the Rams are in a unique situation where they obviously aren't in dire need of a QB but if they liked a young one well enough....

After Donald retired they had to address the DL, not to mention the OL to keep Staff healthy. And the secondary.

Right. I understand that DL and OL were needs. But if you LOVE a QB you aren't going to pass on him in their situation for need if you the BPA rating is much higher then the DL. I'm not saying that is the case here for the Rams but I am just saying if they really loved Nix there is a good chance they wouldn't have passed.

Just because a teams biggest need is one position doesn't mean they are going to pass on a guy they have at a much hire BPA rating. Now QB is typically not a position you draft early if you don't need one but in the Rams situation, they are one of those teams that could have easily drafted a young QB for the future given Stafford's situation. Staff wants to sign an extension but if the Rams feel their QB of the future is sitting their on the board with an aging, expensive, injury prone QB they are going to highly consider it.
