Didn't he also say Larry Bird would just be another player if he was black?

So this means that if Steve Kerr were in his prime today, he would be considered the best player in the league?

@husker slight over reaction to a guy doing his part to mend international relations?

I think it would be interesting to see what LBJ could do back then. I tend to disagree with most of what Rodman said except the part where the Heat would get destroyed by his Bulls.

I am not sure how Pippen would guard both Wade and Lebron at the same time but I think a healthy Wade and LBJ could give them a run for their money.

We have already seen what happens when Bosh and Rodman play each other. Bosh is not the raptor (remember he signed with the Heat?) Enough talk, let's see the game tape:

A couple of things about LBJ that I think would be good for him back then.

He is huge and muscly, to say he would not thrive in that era is ridiculous. He would have trained himself to play that style but rather he has now trained himself to play under the current rules. He may not have been as efficient at scoring but his Defence would have been much more improved.

Also he would be allowed to use their defensive tactics as well. Imagine an LBJ with hand checking and allowed to tackle players? Yea, LBJ would be just fine.

Finally, all those rules were true but preferential star treatment was first well known when it was given to MJ. It may have even been the first case, I would not know other than he was a benefactor of the practice.

Also back then was a different culture so I would like to think he wouldn't whine about every thing like he does now.

Botslayer, you got it dead on.

The "we walked uphill in the snow both ways crowd of the 1990s" forgets that players don't exist in a vacuum.

Just because Lebron doesn't muscle people out of the way doesn't mean he cannot.

Lebron would not play exactly the same ball if he played in that era.

Lebron would take advantage of the 1997 rules. He would not stubbornly cling to 2013 rules.

Lebron is bigger stronger and faster than anyone on those Bulls teams.

If Lebron could simply go "thug" on people, he would probably go 40/40/20.

Lebron would be a scary force of nature if he was allowed to play with 1990s rules.

Dennis Rodman isn't exactly someone who's opinion should count for much

No Rodmans opinion dont mean chit, but those 3 premadonnas in Miami almost checked out when they had to face a decent team in the Pacers. You saw last nite what happens when they face a disciplined, well coached team in the SPURS!

HEAT GOES DOWN!
