He was a shutdown corner in college, probably can be in the NFL at some point too. But watching the following highlights, he would probably be a top 2 safety in the NFL if he were to switch positions.

That sounds good to me, but you know Marvin, he is more like a college coach who is going to play the seniors before the freshman regardless of talent.

It's been a few months since we've decided to make a fine corner a safety..... I miss those days.

I think Dennard will slowly get more playing time and play a major role in the defense by the end of the year.

Look at the guys in front of them. What are the odds that our top 3 corners stay healthy the entire season? I'd say it has to be close to 0. Pacman has had nagging injuries in almost every one of his NFL seasons. Leon has now missed more than half of the season in 2 of the last three years and Newman is an old man. If one of those guys gets hurt, we have to choose between Dre and Dennard. Shouldn't be a hard choice.

I never said we should make him a safety. Shutdown CB's are much more valuable to have.

I was just stating an opinion, that if he was converted to safety he could be a top two safety in this league in a year or two. He hits like a truck, plays the ball and man well, is great in the middle of the field, and excellent ball hawking skills.

I do have a giant love for Christ, and I do believe that Dennard has plenty of talent to accomplish that.

Still don't think we should convert him, just stating an opinion obviously not shared by you.
