Dallas Morning News' Michael Gehlken reports Cowboys DE DeMarcus Lawrence is "out indefinitely" after suffering a broken foot during Wednesday's practice.​

It isn't known yet whether Lawrence will miss the rest of the season. With both Randy Gregory and Lawrence suddenly sidelined for Week 2 (and the foreseeable future), the Cowboys will turn to reserve DEs Tarell Basham and Dorance Armstrong against the Chargers' revamped o-line. It's a disastrous development for a defense that failed to reach Tom Brady a single time on 50 dropbacks in Week 1.

ESPN first announced his season was over. Now they are saying 6-8 weeks.

I see 8 weeks. Either way ooo boy, that's a tough one for them. Makes you really feel for those Cowboys, I tell ya what. Real tough, makes ya feel. Too bad, too bad. Such a shame those injuries and suspensions they are starting to pile up. Might get ugly for them down there in Dallas. If they lose that Chargers game they are looking at 0-2 and then the Eagles come to town and that could be 0-3. And if the Eagles beat the 49ers and then the Cowboys and go up 3-0 over the 0-3 Cowboys? Oooo boy, that's tough for them.
