WEEI reported this afternoon on the Dale & Holley Show that NFL attorney Clement, who argued the NFL's position before the 2nd Court of Appeals has written a letter to the 2nd Court. Most leagal experts believed that Clement had to write a letter of apology or risk disbarment for lying to the court on three specific issues.

Instead, Clement wrote the letter and threw Roger Goodell under the bus. He told the three judges that he only repeated what he was told by Roger Goodell and any inaccurate statements were straight from the commissioner's mouth.

Now the court knows that they were lied to by the NFL and the NFL Attorney.

Why do you think that Kraft asked for the draft pick? Maybe because Tom Brady's legal team just might file that multi billion dollar defamation lawsuit after the appeals court upholds Berman's decision.

You must of heard wrong. That isn't what is being posted. Clement is sticking to his story.

No I'm not, you're misreading what I posted. He's denying that ""HE"" lied. He' wrote to the Appeals court that any untrue statements are not his, they are Roger Goodell's and he only repeated them. Goodell has to back him up or the guy could be disbarred. The NFLPA has already proved the four statements as totally false.

I find it strangely odd that CBS, FOX, ESPN or ABC haven't picked up the story and at least mentioned in any broadcast that Clement wrote a letter denying his liability.......let alone that he hung Goodell out to dry.

A defamation suit would be very tough to win - sure, they could easily prove incompetence, but malice is a whole different ballgame.

It isn't when the defendant (NFL) did the malice without any proof of what they publicly accused him of. And when asked in court to produce proof, could not.

Journalism is dead. There is a ton of proof out there that the NFL lied about all of this but journalist wont question it. For starters, why weren't reporters pressing Goodell about the Colts deflated balls. If the Pats are guilty, so are the Colts.
