NU helped some, but they've got two other games (albeit cupcakes) like most other teams to average in.

I think it's fair to say UCLA is the best offense NU see's the rest of the regular season. Ohio St can run the ball but their passing is questionable.

That is very favorable considering NU's got one hell of an offensive arsenel of it's own.

With an average defense NU can run the table in the B1G 10.

Progression of the D will be huge. Entire season hinges on whether the young talent can develop quickly. Who'd a thunk Idaho St. would be a huge game, but it is. They need all the experience they can get in game situations.

Schedule doesn't look quite as brutal to start out as we once thought, but it's still one of the more front loaded scheds in the B1G.

That's why I keep saying 2013 is NU's year for BCS. The schedule softens up, these skill players all return, and the fixtures on what is a soft D line will be gone. I can only imagine this offense with another year of maturity in this system.

Now that most everybody has 3 games to average some things together, I see no reason to back off my 9-3 (at worst) regular season prediction.

That means 6-2 in conference and probably a head-to-head tie-breaker for the division.

An offense that can light you up in many different ways, but a somewhat maligned defense.

But NU can sling it around too.
