Here's something that has been on my mind for a few weeks. Let's say AP gave the Lions 2000 yds on the ground last season, would they have won more games?
It's not even close. Adrian Peterson makes every team in the NFL significantly better. Add him to any other playoff team and the become heavy favorites to win the superbowl.
Thing is, no RB can get that many yards with a bad line. No way AP got 2K running behind ravioli and co.
For sure and this is the reason I think people are SEVERELY undervaluing Altanta this year. You are adding one of the 3 or 4 best RB's in the game to an offense that may already be the most talented team in the league at the skill positions and yet Atlanta is an afterthought when people talk about SB teams from the NFC. Won 13 games last year and were 10 yards from the SB, adds Steven Jackson and now they are the 3rd or 4th best team in the NFC??? LOL
Steven Jackson is one of the best 3 or 4 Running Backs in the NFL? Did I accidentally turn the time machine one while I was doing laundry? Does Kurt Warner still play for the New York Football Giants in whatever year this is? Does Adrian Peterson still consider himself a slave? Should I keep asking questions?
He will be this year. Guy averaged 1200 yards a year the last 3 years playing behind a bad OL with no weapons on the outside to protect him. There arent 3 or 4 guys in the league Id take ahead of him for sure if thats what you are asking. AP for sure. After that its a clusted of Lynch, Gore, Jackson, Rice, Foster and Charles
Are you serious? Dudes ALWAYS hurt.
Are you serious? Dudes ALWAYS hurt. I'm all for wishful thinking buddy. But you're going to be very disappointed if you're expecting him to out produce any of those guys you mentioned. Or Matt Forte, Doug Martin,CJ Spiller, Trent Richardson, Chris Johnson or possibly even Reggie Bush. There was a time when Jackson was a top 3,4,5 back. But it wasn't this decade.
