ok now ... who's fault is this? de aza has been around baseball long enough to know this simple situation. is he simply stupid? or is the manage stupid for not knowing de aza is stupid and giving him the take sign? there is definitely enough stupid going around in that dugout.

No doubt it's DeAza that's dumb, because he's the one deciding whether to swing the bat. I don't think managers call out each swing from the bench, it's the hitters' job to hit. That said, they could at least tell him before he gets up there to take the first pitch but who knows...

If De Aza doesn't understand the most basic fundamentals and concepts of the game, that's on no one but him.
