No doubt- I love Ty Montgomery but I just don't know if the guy is gonna play as big of a role in the running game this year as many are thinking. Williams should take a lot of carries away. Last year GB had nothing at RB. Ty Mont did a great job, and will be good in PPR fantasy league, but IMO Williams should have been one of the first RB2's to be off the board.

Ppl keep saying Ty Montgomery's body won't hold up, but he put on 7 lbs of muscle during the offseason and he outweighs Williams by like 20 lbs. I don't really understand them reporter's logic lol.

I was a big fan of Ty in college, I think he will do great at whatever role GB has for him. I just think we will see a fair amount of Williams eventually, not because I think Ty will wear down.

Montgomery is reportedly struggling with pass protection, and he fumbled in his first preseason appearance as the #1 back. Two good ways to lose a starting RB job in the NFL.

I fully expect he starts the season for Green Bay, but I could see Williams getting the job if he struggles early.

This is my first year having a halfway decent backup in this league. It gets really bad really quick.

Last year, by the time I considered getting a backup, there was no one left that I would bother with, so I just went into the season with my starting QB.

I remember getting stuck with a crappy QB many years in this league. Usually every year, but then I had injuries at QB three years in a row and grew tired of it, so the last few years I have taken a backup QB earlier then I have in the past.
