why would any "hot" DC candidate want to come coach the Skins?

Need to come to the realization that this is probably the least desirable coaching position in the NFL.

You need to be resigned to the fact that the candidates you are going to get is either retreads on their final shot, get lucky and hit on a young up and comer like Mcvay, or unqualified over their head candidates such as Manusky

Pagano and Bowles have to be the front runners. I'd take Todd in a heartbeat. But he is going to be looking for a HC position so we would have to wait for those searches to conclude before we would know if he is even available. Actually that will hold true with Pagano also.

If they arent looking for a HC position there are 31 other teams that may have a DC position available that would be way more desirable.

I agree with that. But this one might lead to a HC job sooner rather than latter. Jay has to produce next year or we may be in a HC search for 2020.

Because they are almost guaranteed to have an opening here in 2020.
