Soundgarden put on a show and Nine Inch Nails weren't half bad either.

Tomorrow's adventure includes champagne brunch, a little gambling and then a tour of the Hoover dam. I do like this city!

I wish that Peralta were younger. He's pretty much already entering his prime and the Dbacks have barely started using him.

Yeah, he will be 27 in a few weeks. When first signed at age 18 with Stl, he was an SP. After he was released after 2 seasons, he disappeared. He came back as a reinvented OF at age 23 & played 2 1/2 seasons with the Independent league & raked there. The Dbacks signed him out of the Ind league last season & sent him to A+ Visalia where he continued to rake. He started in AA mobile this year, hit well, & with all the injuries to Dback OF(s), got the call up.

This is just me, but I think Peralta might have used those 4 years he was gone to dabble in PED(s). He is a pretty big guy for being a former pitcher. Complete speculation on my part, but he fits the bill by being a Venezuelan(Latin) player who comes back after have no success & then suddenly lights up MLB pitching.

Since he started out as a pitcher, maybe his prime starts a little later than normal.

Rizzo is a beast. I still don't understand why the Padres traded him for Cashner.

That was a Josh Byrnes deal, right?

Yep. I think he traded Latos for Alonso(1B), Grandel(C), & Volquez shortly after taking the job. And then traded Rizzo a few months after that.

So he chose Alonso over Rizzo.

Damn, that is a great play by Rizzo. But you can't go into the dugout on that play. A free 90 feet when you do.

Almost as bad as KT choosing Delgado over Teheran in that Upton deal.
