#6 is lacking/ Bar is set pretty low. He very well could be the best #6 when all is said & done.

Prior to recent NFL rule change for jersey numbers only QBs, kickers and punters could wear number 6 after they made rules more strict in early 70s. Now RBs, WRs and TEs can also have single digit numbers.

But the point is right on... not a lot of greats have worn #6. Cutler and Mayfield recently....

Last time I looked up greatest at each #. I dont think Mayfield was playing yet.
I was literally looking at some punters. Thinking did we have a great punter wear that #. LOL

So, you're saying the league made a DeVonta Smith rule before he actually put on an NFL jersey.

Damn, maybe he will be the best WR in 3 years if he's that special.
