Day Three - Rams Draft Thread Continued

Hey fellas.

Just opened up an acct over here.

Not overly excited about how our draft went.

Austin is the most explosive player in the draft but he is also 5'7.5" 174# so if an NFL db hits him square he's gonna be in the hospital. 3 picks for that risk makes me a bit quesy. Hopefully he pans out.

Ogletree at 16 or 22 was a hell no from me, but at 30 thats tremendous value for an OLB that could start for the next decade.

TJ McDonald pick was just straight up USC homerism by Fisher. Absolute reach. Hopefully he isn't a total stiff. Perhaps Sneed was confused and thought Tim McDonald came out of retirement?.......absolute Brian Quick ish quality pick.

The 2nd WR from WVU wasn't a bad pick. But it may not be a good one either. That entire round pleased me about as much as when we took Brian Quick last year.

The Barrett Jones pick is my favorite valuewise of the draft. Kid is highly durable and will probably start at either LG or C for us. Homerun there IMO.

The other picks after the 1st round were highly "iffy".

My personal preferences for 71,92,113,149, & the 2 6ths:
71. OT Terron Armstead
92. SS Shemarko Thomas
113. OL Barrett Jones
149. FS Bacarri Rambo
6tha. WR Da'Rick Rogers or Marquess Wilson
6thb. DT Chris Jones or DE Joe Kruger

then again my picks likely suck too.

frustrating draft IMO.

By the look of the recent moves of cutting the blocking TE a few weeks back and adding all the speed with small reveivers and backs...I'm almost wondering if Fisher is trying to rebuild the greatest show on turf instead of the smashmouth sort of offenses that he had in Tennessee.

No. 71 - TJ McDonald FS Southern Cal. 6'3" 219 lbs.
~ Rams acquire No. 71 from Bills in the first day package to trade up to get to No. 8.

No. 92 - Stedman Bailey WR West Virgina 5'10" 193 lbs.
~ Rams acquire No. 92 from Falcons in the first day package to trade down and get back later round picks.

Round Four
No. 113 - Barett Jones C Alabama 6'5" 306 lbs.

No. 149 - Brandon McGee CB Miami 5'11" 193 lbs.

Round Six
~ Rams trade away No. 222 to Bills in first day package to get to No. 8.

~ Rams acquire No. 198 from Falcons in the first day package to trade down in the first round to get back later round picks.

~ Rams trade away No. 184 & No. 198 to the Texans to get No. 160.

I am sure you'll like this site. It allows for bigger avi's and downloads of all sorts of videos. Things change when you get past the 40 posts mark. You'll go to full member status and there are a boatload of options available to you that you can't access now.

I've been buisy lately.
With how the draft went that was probably a good thing.
When the Rams moved up to 8, I was thinking wow, they really got agressive to fix the O-Line by adding Warmack and then of course the pick came in.

Anyway glad I had things keeping me occupied for this years draft.
Hope you guys are well, I'll make this my primary site and probably be around annoying you fellas once training camp gets fired up.

Fisher and Snead I'm sure will continue to look at the un-drafted dudes. Maybe they can pluck a gem out of there, who knows..

I like the Stacy pick the more I read up about him. Loves running up the middle. High character guy. goes up against Alabama, Georgia, Florida, etc. behind his puny offensive line. The guy's got guts!
