YepNot tipping his hand is a big thing in my opinion.
It is very simple, if there is a guy on the board he likes he will make the pick, if not he listen to the trade. For all those saying it is a stupid trade he now has two chances instead of one to get at least one productive player and possibly too. McCloughan's strength is from round 4 on.
Sometimes fans fall in love with the "expert" picks. If you look at a list of who Scot brought in there were a lot of late round guys and potential undrafted FAs.
Oh well, I am going with his track record. He was good last year.
