Hmm, Virginia struggling with Belmont...

My bracket is ok right now, but if UVA goes down, I'm toast.

Ah, yes. Belmont University, a private non-denominational Christian school in greater Nashville with a little over 7,000 students. Members of the basketball team are dedicated to getting their degrees. It's a liberal arts school, and the student athletes are dedicated to getting a degree. I know. Weird. They are giving UVA no quarter. UVA. Over 20k students. Major research university. ACC, baby. Arguably, THE b'ball conference. A #2 seed with arguably the easiest path to the final four. As I post this, the Cavaliers are sweating a 6 point lead with 2+ minutes to play.

This is why I like the NCAA tourney so much. You have the Belmonts and Butlers of the world going toe to toe with the biggest universities in the nation...and sometimes winning.

Games are getting a little better now. Glad to see Wichita pull out the win so we can see them play Kansas.

VA won't cover the spread so that sucks.

All that work for nothing.

That's the thing. Belmont will not count it "for nothing." In the mid-70s, I used to live in that part of town. Big, older homes having fallen from grace, just beginning to be renewed. Heady times.

Just referring to your post but I was being a smartass. :suds:

Helluva a fight to get back in it against an elite team.
