To follow up on the previous post, Darryl Sutter’s multi-year contract has been signed, and he will be publicly introduced as the Kings’ new coach on Tuesday or Wednesday, a source close to the situation has confirmed. As noted before, immigration issues prevent Sutter from immediately joining the team, but he will take over when the team returns to Los Angeles.

Sutter is a decent coach. He just was a terrible GM in Calgary.

The last 18 months in Calgary, yes you are right Kenny and he needed to be shown the door as it was getting to be a toxic situation.

/As coach of the Flames, he took the Flames to within one game of the Stanley Cup, followed by a lockout season, and then a NW division title.

Best of luck to Darryl Sutter, yes the last couple of years as GM of the Flames were not good at all, but he still did a lot of good things for Calgary in his tenure.

I agree. he did some some pieces in but he should have left sooner. (maybe after the Final Run) but thats hindsight of course
