For D'antoni - he has always been a Steve Nash fan and without Nash he is totally incompetent and lost. In fact he is so lost that he would most likely rather miss Kobe than Nash. For D'antoni - Kobe is more expendable than Nash

The main problem is Steve Blake is trash and he is the primary backup to Nash when it should be Farmar. We have gotten younger and more athletic with some of the younger pieces we got. At this point in his career Nash is injury prone and we have to know he will sit out more than he plays this year.

I wholeheartedly disagree. Nash is not the same, he's not the old Nash...he is just an old Nash. He's a liability as a starter and should be coming off the bench.

I agree Kold. Out of all of the ridiculous signings last year, the Nash signing was the worst and if they are thinking of keeping this guy around for another year or two, they have lost their marbles. Get rid of both Nash and Blake. Most of what I saw tonight between the two of them is a lot of dribbling, a lot of turnovers, and a lot of missed shots.

I'm not worried about that because Blake spends half of his time injured anyway and will soon be on the dl list

Remember that D'Antoni was enjoying some success in New York before he resigned (would you want to coach Carmelo Anthony?) and his system turned Jeremy Lin into an international phenomenon—and a $25M man. He is a conceptual mastermind, at least in terms of point guard/pick-and-roll/transition offense; realize that in eight seasons prior to entering D'Antoni's system, Nash had never averaged as many as 9.0 assists per game or shot as high as .490 from the field.

D'Antoni may be stubborn sometimes, but he's not stupid. He knows that the most important players on this team are Bryant and Gasol.

:agree:i'll give you this. in 100% agreement that Jordan Farmar should be getting more minutes AND should be in the primary back-up role. in all honesty i think Nash has been working with him with his passing and court vision and it's shown itself at times in games that he's played in. don't ask me what coach D'Antoni's looking for, but it seems fairly obvious to the rest of us...

Things will be difficult until Kobe comes back and I know it is a down year but Farmar and Hill needs to play more. Hill really energizes our squad with his rebounding and energy. Xavier Henry has been good too , but I also know that we will see some inconsistent play throughout the year from our young players.
