How does that work?

Did you move around a lot?

Did family help pre-shape your fandom someway?

Inquiring minds.........

Army brat is my guess...or he was 10 years old in 94 when all were really good.

Short version, since I am leaving the office soon:

I grew up in Queens as a Mets fan. I liked the Steelers as a kid because of Joe Greene. I thought the nickname "Mean Joe" was cool as a 6 yr old, and wore his jersey all the time.

I adopted the Sox in 1975 because I liked Jim Rice. He was my favorite player, and the Sox always ran #2 to the Mets #1 until the playoffs of 1986.

I thought that Mets team was arrogant and a bunch of punks, so I actually started rooting against them against the Astros in the NLCS. I also wanted to see Rice and Evans get a ring. Plus, it was Clemens' CY and MVP season. I still have the screen name for Clemens, even though I think he is now a loser.

After that, the Sox were #1, and the Mets have been #2.

The Rangers requires no explanation.

Not so short, but I hope it makes sense.

I wish I was 10 in 1994. If that were the case, I would be chasing the actual women in those pictures.

Gotcha, and thank you. I am always curious about this, when there is no clear cut geographical explanation.

i wish your life was less-crappy bigD

for crying out loud man lol

Being real for a moment, my life is probably just as good or crappy as the next guy. I just have no filter for me or my life. If it is, I say it is, and don't try to hide or sugar coat everything.

Most call it being negitive & depressing. I call it being 100% real 100% of the time.
