My son is turning somersaults. He got invited to join my buddy and his wife and daughter at the Padres game today. I'm going to take him down and get him a new Padres hat and he just found out that their seats are third row on top of the visiting dugout about halfway down the row that Dave Winfield sits in.

Who the fuck is Kameron Loe and why is he on the mound for the braves:frusty:

This is a throwaway for the Braves, they've already won the series, and they're probably counting on their offense out-scoring the Mets. This might be a 10-8 game.

Typical day game after night game, according to Howie Rose.

Harang was a horse for the Padres. We got maximum value out of him.

Has anyone ever told you that you're a chode, Hu?

Not using that express term, no...

I hope your son has a good day, though. Mine is only six and is not quite into baseball/sports yet.

He's in Vegas at the moment, he'll be taking Zach Wheeler's spot in the rotation when they shut him down for the season.

The rest of Vegas is actually playing for the parent club right now.

When my son was six the Lakers were in the midst of three-peating and I took him to a playoff game at Staples against the Queens and he was blown away. He's been hooked on sports ever since. He's been to Lakers, Chargers, Titans, Padres, Dodgers and Predators games.

Do you go to games? I lived in NYC for a couple of years in the 90s but only went to baseball games (several Mets and a couple of Yankees games). I was at a Padres/Mets game when Gary Sheffield and Todd Hundley went at it at home plate.

I've taken both kids to Sheaiti field. Sadly, neither of them attended a game at old Shea or old Yankees Stadium -- I thought about taking my daughter there before it closed, but she was so young she wouldn't even have remembered it. Even today when we go, neither of them pay much attention to the actual game, but I force them to look...force them to keep score...force them to stand up when there's two strikes on the batter or the bases are loaded. They'll thank me later.

I will probably take them to some Nets or Islanders games in the future, but I'm not as in to b-Ball or Hockey as I am football or baseball. And I will probably never drag them to the Meadowlands. I'd rather watch football on TV.

a lot better than "boston...where you have to put up with ugly, fat annoying new york fans for the rest of your miserable life"
