Congrats HD, hope it keeps growing.

You guys all do a really good job here.

Thanks, man. :suds: Ghost seems to have timed things just right and hit the right combination of rules, or lack thereof, to fill the void left by ESPN and CBS.

It's going to be interesting to see where this thing is by about March Madness next year. I can't imagine.

Why would Mo come back? Look at the garbage they surround him with.

2.12 ERA, 9th year with at least 40 saves.

I wish like hell he was coming back, but I don't think so.

Be nice if the Yanks could give one more chance to lower that 0.70 post season ERA though.

Good news is you get CC back! That's good news, right?

Well he could get that from several other teams that actually have a shot at the playoffs.

That would be interesting. Mariano deciding not to retire, but end up wearing another uniform. Of course that would never happen in a million years, but still would be interesting to watch the Yankee fans reactions.

As evidenced by this thread, there would be no reaction because they would have all disappeared.

Two things I despise about Mariano.

1.) That silly "I'm so above this" smirk he gets on his face when he fucks up a game.

2.) His bullshit religious statements.

In a big game, there are at least six pitchers I'd rather have on the mound to close a game. Mariano is living on tradition.

ask boston fans who never really get the opportunity to retire numbers

for example, paul pierce and wade boggs.

ya, wade is the only # to be retired at the trop. his legacy is n/a.

Mariano wouldn't even be the setup man for the Pirates. We have the luxury of deciding between Melancon and Grilli to close in the playoffs.

Mariano Rivera is the greatest player of the steroid era and it would be extremely naive to believe that a dominating cutter pitcher who's faced well over 5,000 batters didn't use steroids or PEDs when they were rampant in the Yankees locker room. Use some common sense and draw your own conclusions.

Mets going for the cycle in the first inning: triple, homerun, double, 2-0 start.

But we've seen this act before. game lasts nine innings, guys.
