if a cfl team really did offer him a chance at backup qb not another position which he clearly doesnt want to play then i totally agree. but i got to think at this point he knows he will wash out and he wants to do it in the nfl or not at all.

It's interesting. Obviously Tebow has a financial backup plan and my guess is that a megachurch contract would pay way more than any football will. If not, he's a fool for not taking some of these offers to bank the cash and plan for when he's completely irrelevant.

True without a doubt. Any quality every day player is much, much more valuable than a one inning reliever, Rivera included.

However, Rivera is the best ever at what he does, and Helton isn't even the best of his generation at what he does, and their legacies will reflect that.
