Depends how you define tanking I guess.

Intentionally setting bad lineups is bad and should have some kind of consequence although it can be tough to prove sometimes.

Intentionally making your team bad this year to help it in future years is not bad imo and is a good strategy. Don't think this is what people mean when they hate on tanking but I think this is definitely ethical.

It has come up and the past and the person was removed from both D1 and D2. Talking about the bold part. Sometimes people just have a bad team and have a few setbacks trying to rebuild.

Tanking is a term that is misused all the time in sports.

Tanking is losing on purpose. It implies not trying.

Rebuilding by selling current assets for future assets and consequently making your team bad in the short term is savvy managing.

If you can’t win in the current year, you should be managing for the future, IMO. That is not tanking.

I am intrigued. But working on deals in my main league. Things are hot and heavy right now. Phone lines are blowing up. Was making a push for Fournette and someone weaseled their way in and beat me as I was driving home. Sent a big offer for Fournette and CeeDee and dude hit me back and said he just took the other dude's offer, but he would have done mine if I would have driven faster. Fucking traffic.

Don't you HATE that shit??. Nothing worse than a trade, a signing, a dude getting put on IR making a backup a must add..mising out on a trade offer...and you're just trying to get home from work??? Ughh..frustrating
