Mine has floated that idea ..thus far I have withstood the storm...but as soon as we seriously upgrade the internet service, and find a reliable replacement for Sunday ticket... I'm guessing I'll loose the war

mine has been after me for a while on it. The baseball package is on the computer now and AT&T buying DirecTV. Now they want to give us less channels and raise our bill and lock us in for 2 years. So I told her to make the call

When we moved we made the bold move to have no tv. Just internet. But our provider said if you bundle a basic package (no HD), then the cost is actually cheaper than internet only.

Oh sure...with your present provider, because they will up charge thur the roof if you only want a portion of their services Like when all my services phone, internet and cable was all with Comcast, they told me if I wacked back any of them I'd lose my "special package" deal and my cost for any part would be almost the same. Fixed that by switching to direct TV ( Sunday ticket was awesome) for TV and phone and Century link for internet ....then canceling Direct TV services entirely and switching my internet to Comcast. Suddenly Comcast had some awesome deals for someone that had been using a different service.

Their all a bunch of assshole that charge you top dollar if your a loyal customer, but will bend over backward if your some other service customer. Got to learn to play the game. Some pain is involved.

This drives me up the wall. We had been with DirecTV since 2002, now they want to give us a run around to the point that I am ready to cancel.

The wife is pissed because they are doing away with whatever channel Rupaul's Drag Race comes on. When they said that she was done.

Our deal with Xfinity really isn't bad. Internet alone was gonna be $80 because my son wanted a certain speed. But bundled with basic tv, the price was $66.

I only miss tv about now when playoff hockey is going on. Football season isn't as bad since most prime time games are on the radio which is still free.

The wife and I are trying to listen to more music instead of instinctively turning the tv on.
