Maybe good fortune is beginning to smile upon this team. I know that it is rather harsh, but honestly, most here have predicted at best a 9-7 and worse an 8-8 season or less. These gut felt predictions combined with the optimism of an vastly improved offense/ST are we to expect defensively, the definition of crazy this year? (using the same guys and expecting a different result) I think that it is time to give new and second year players the reins now. At least with them there's promise and room to grow.

Sorry man, but I can't disagree more!! The team has yet to play a meaningful game, and you already want to put in rookies, and 2nd year players? really??? As far as Hall goes....Please...He was our best BD last year, and will probably be again this year....the guy can still ball, and he took on the best the NFL had to offer last year, and held his own nicely.......I see what you are saying about playing the same defensive guys and expecting different results.....however....it is different....I loved London, but last year he was NOT the same player, and we look to maybe have upgraded over what we had last year with London.... Amerson starting #2 is better the Wilson last year, and Porter in the slot is better then wilson was last year.....We have a safety that makes plays with knowledge....Stymie...this Defense is NOT the same!!!

i wouldnt give any player time unless he earns it sty . for the life of me why do people just hand things to young guys . they need to earn it

play the best players till you are eliminated from contention then look at youth

You've made some pretty good points , however, didn't they play 16 meaningful games a season ago? In as much as D. Hall goes, think about it a bit more. Isn't it possible that the major reason he looked as "good" as he did was because Wilson was on the other side? Granted he played well against Dez Bryant but who else? In fact do you remember th

In fact do you remember the debate that many had when he was released (cap reasons supposedly) by this team? I didn't say that he can't still ball, I just think that he's better suited at this point in his career to play the slot guy. We'll see if the defense is the same or not.

While I agree that any player earns his pay and play, evaluation of current players must be an on-going process. I'm not willing to just hand the job to a veteran either. They also need to earn it. Last season, after being eliminated the one thing that this team didn't do was, look at youth. I'd play him in the slot at this point in his career.

Turns out the defensive pattern holds here, too: a few excellent rookie starters, an enormous jump in second-year starters and a peak at year three. Unlike linebackers, though, year three doesn't begin a plateau, it's an actual peak. After year three, the number of defensive backs who start 14-plus games declines quite steadily.
