McRoberts should made the team over quick drops.
Yea, I agree with you on many of your points Shopson and the McRoberts cut was especially perplexing especially in light of the guys they kept. Hemmingway was another one that made little sense to keep. He didn't impress me during any of the games he played. Again, this pattern is somebody in the Snisher realm likes him and therefore that apparently trumps all obvious performance and talent combo logic.
Surprised to see Chubb, Fox, Seau and Jordan all gone in favor of guys like Grigsby, Littleton, and Hill. In the end, there just isn't any space to keep Fox and Seau with Donald, Quinn, Brockers, Hayes, Easley, Sims, Westbrooks and Longacre ahead of them.
That 7th WR is potential cut when Cooper gets healthy, could be Quick or someone else could get injured in the interim.
Kept a full 10 OL, even though I'm not even sure who Arkin and Murphy are lol.
4 TEs a bit of a surprise, but I guess they decided they had to keep Hemingway for now. He did show some ability if he can get over the drops (an unfortunate thread throughout this preseason, while a guy like McRoberts and his strong hands gets cut).
Many of the guys we thought would be gone are on the PS.
For a coach that preaches about being tired of 7-9 bullshit, it sure seems like he's doing things to keep the team that way.Because we had to keep people like Murphy and Arkin O-lineman on the active roster, SJ76. Just plain stupid.
So why would we cut Ayers and who's going to be better than him stopping the run? Poor UCLA guy has to be pissed.
That is such BS from Fisher. Hoping Ayers would come back. Give me a frikin' break. Snisher had plenty of time to re-sign him. In fact he should have never cut him to begin with. And what is with all of these DB signings to the PS. Where is Seau on the PS list? Bringing back Cam Thomas was a decent move. No, Snisher wanted to cut the salary that is why they dumped Ayers and now he is a Colt. Dumbasses.
I just read an article that said Joyner was going to see more snaps than Ayers, so Ayers was expendable. They called it a 4-2-5 as technically Barron is listed as a LB.Judging by their official defensive depth chart, they plan on using a base 4-1-6 defense anyway.
