Heck everyone wants to claim that title, if memory serves well it wasn't the Cowboys to originally coin that phrase, they just hopped on it.Remember when the Saints tried to claim that title?![]()

I've often heard it called big brother envy.
So when Jerry dies you moving back in?That and just the whole city of Houston has this inferiority complex when it comes to Dallas.
I don;t live in either city so I don't have this problem.
And I grew up with Roger Staubach as my first ever sports hero so I don't have Cowboy hate or Dallas envy.
I just detest Jerry Jones and everything he stands for is the only reason I switched allegiance.
It's a cesspool of crooked cops, bad politicians and Black Magic witches. Gross
And shrimp gumbo or whatever it's called.I've always thought New Orleans was a fabulous place.
If you enjoy filth, violence and corruption.
In a nut she'll NFL Films thought of the name as a marketing idea, they first went to Pittsburgh, but Rooney said "No we are Pittsburgh's team". NFL Films then went to Dallas, Schram said yes because Dallas was still a young team and this would get their name out. Landry was against it because he thought it would put targets on their backs.Heck everyone wants to claim that title, if memory serves well it wasn't the Cowboys to originally coin that phrase, they just hopped on it.

Visionary folks back then, people hate history but it is so important to the future. In a nut she'll NFL Films thought of the name as a marketing idea, they first went to Pittsburgh, but Rooney said "No we are Pittsburgh's team". Nope, there are way worse than that, at least the in state gives life to the rivalry. I know the Texans are new but many of their fans were Oiler fans, do that gives it some meaning my book. I know the rivalry means more to Texans fans, but Dallas fans don't want to lose to Houston either. Give it a few more years especially if Houston somehow pulls out a SB win, then the Texan fans will really be chirping.I still root for the Cowboys. They only play the Texans once every four years.
Lone Star Rivalry my ass!
This so-called Cowboys-Texans rivalry might be the worst n the history of sports.

Yep- same problem the Rams had in STL with the Chiefs. It really wasn't a rivalry in any meaningful sense.I understand the in-state part but, to me, you have to play more than once every four years for it to be a rivalry. No. Preseason don't count.

What about Giants and the Jets Not only are they in the same state, their same city, and stadium?
Stop making sense, the Only AFC team I hate is Pittsburgh. Not a rivalry. And their fans, for the most part, get that.
Jets fans direct their hate to the Pats and Dolphins and the Giants of course have the Cowboys, Redskins and Eagles.
You damn sure don't see Jets fans obsessing over the Giants the way Texans fans obsess over the Cowboys,

Show me yours n I'll show you mine.1000 bullshit ,no point posts or relevant posts? Post count doesn't mean jack shit.
We had one very obnoxious Texan fan on the Cowboys board on ESPN. I can't for the life of me remember his name.
YES was something all right, but we had Texan fan pumping his chest after a preseason Houston of Dallas win. I'm sure others know exactly who I'm talking about, I have a hard time remembering names.TonyRomoSomething. Turns out it was a chick. She admitted to me that she had many aliases.
She even liked to talk to herself. Creepy.....
