He has him ranked 12th in his draft list (okay Craig, there could be a reason why no NHL team will hire you)

slight tangent, Brandon Wheat Kings have released Coach Cory Clouston.
in terms of defensemen, I'd put Reinhard, Dumba and maybe Ceci ahead of Murray.

The lack of physical play conerns me about Reinhart. Dumba's size is an issue.
I'd take Trouba & Ceci ahead of Murray though.
I've watched Ceci a lot in the last couple of months and I'm on the fence about him.
His footwork and foot speed are a question mark IMO. He's definitely worth a first round pick but I'm undecided whether he should be a top 10 guy.
Although that sort of thing applies to a lot of the top prospects this year: they all seem to have one element to their game that raises questions.
I haven't got to see Trouba and a few of the other guys though, so maybe I'm wrong about that.
ouch.
Craig Button's first round picks as Calgary's GM: Brent Krahn (9th), Chuck Kobasew (14th), Eric Nystrom (10th). He knows what he's doing.
Lest we forget trading Marc Savard for Ruslan Zainullin (who?) and letting Martin St. Louis walk away for nothing.
One of the things scouts rave about when talking about Ceci is his skating. NHL networkd showed one of the playoff games against Niagara & Ceci is a very good skater.
Reilly is a guy I know nothing about. I know he's highly rated, but he was injured most of the year.
I'm not sure what scouts are raving about Ceci's skating but his pivot is not yet NHL calibre and his posture isn't all that conducive to him improving his first few steps (which just about every junior-aged player needs to do to be an impact player in the NHL).
I watched a lot of 67's games down the stretch and into the playoffs and Ceci really improved his footwork when it comes to stepping along the blueline to open a shooting lane. He's also quite strong on his skates.
By all accounts he has improved his skating (and I agree with this based on the 12-15 games I've seen) to the point where he can use it as an asset in the OHL. It still needs work for him to be considered mobile in the NHL, IMO.
To me his skating needs some improvement for him to be a good top-pairing defenseman in the NHL. He has several years to make that happen. If he does I could see him being a top 10-20 D-man in the NHL. What makes him look like an excellent prospect, to me anyway, are his instincts with the puck. He makes good decisions (primarily offensively), he is super-poised and his point shot is outstanding in that he gets it off quickly, on net and low.
I don't think, with his size, smarts and skill, that there is any way that this kid doesn't become an NHL regular. If he improves his skating he could be elite. He's a no-brainer if you're picking after say 10 in the first round.
At any rate I'd love for the Sens to somehow add him to the mix.
If the Sens want him they're going to have to trade up to get him.
Oh for sure. If he's still available at 10 or 11 he's a must take. He could go as high as 4th I would think.
This is Cam Fowler all over again.
