so If I recall correctly, the cowboys defense has given up a whopping 10 points over the last 6 quarters?

No really. What did you guys do with our defense?

Definitely took advantage of a young, average QB the first half. The TD they did score today was a fluke play. I thought the DBs were solid today as well, making plays on the ball. It was kind of scary when we went up 26-10 with 8:10 to go and they went 75 yrds in 1 minute. We just looked more physical today. I dont know if thats Murray and it carries over to the defense. It could be that monster wearing 55 in the middle, although Im sure he is probably making some mistakes. He brings a load when he hits though.

Would love to get some kind of pass rush. Locker missed some wide open WRs. Need to pass block better as well.

It's definitely Murray. I think the time of possession was something like 40+ minutes for Dallas vs like 15 for Tennessee. If you don't have the greatest defense.... keep them off the field!

I think a lot of it is Murray , but McClain plays with some nastiness. Its the way he tackles. He slings people around like rag dolls.

I know. Every analyst was telling everyone to pick up Locker because he played well last week and faces our trash defense this week. Wonder how that worked out for them? :suds:

The best part about today's win and is a good sign moving forward: After the goal line stand, they got the ball with 6:22 left in the game, when Tennesse got it back :23. That was honestly my favorite part of the game. How we actually finished the game by running the football. Probably doesn't mean much in the long run, but it is a good sign to see the running game be so effective when it's time to put the game away against a team that completely neutralized Jamaal Charles for four quarters just a week ago.

Totally agree. It reminded me of the old days of Emmitt . I dont think Romo ever had to pass on third down.

Crazy to think they might even be a top 10 defense after 3 weeks.

Maybe, just maybe Garrett, Romo and the other 5 offensive play caller's learned something.

Counting chickens before they hatch is not wise but we do face the Rams so it's entirely possible.

True, and if they can't figure out how to generate a pass rush, it could be a long day.

:agree: 100% To me, this has to be the offensive gameplan whether the run game is churning out yards like today or not. Number of rushing attempts, shorten the game, and keep the defense fresh. We've had games like this over the last few years, only to come out and throw it 50 times the next game. If that happens in St Louis, I may break my TV. Today was beautiful. More of the same, please

The best thing about this, is the D should only get better. Spencer, Scandrick, Lawrence, and Durant should all be back by mid season and fully healthy. That's four STARTERS! wow. What's even better to think about is next year Carter at Sam, McClain at Mike, and Lee at Will (I've always thought he'd be out best LB there because of his instincts), could be NFL's best LB group next year. Keep working on this DL and Secondary and this D could go from what looks above average right now to one of the tops in the NFL. Romo worries me though, that arm strength looks bad at times, maybe the back was stiff to start the game idk, but if it's like this after week 5 I'll be really worried, I'll give him 4 games as a warm up, kinda like preseason.

There's a chance for a huge upgrade next season on D IMO. We might be able to fill one void through FA since we will be in better shape cap wise, and next year looks like a pretty strong draft class again

DEz is needing a contract as is MUrray. If MCClain continues to look this good, what kind of money does he ask for
